It’s another year, and there’s much talk and plans as we resolute, calculate and jumpstart. However, I wonder what foundation your strategies are built upon? You have gone through 365 days of highs and lows, intrigues, hardships, and adversity. It’s time to move on, but what can we look forward to in 2022?

We can look to Lamentation 3: 22, 23. “It is of the Lord’s mercy that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

After months and months of life coming against us, no matter how stormy the day, or how mundane (like a flat tire, or a car out of balance), tomorrow presents an opportunity.

Therefore we ought to focus on the things that matter most:
Worshipping Christ,
Listening to Him,
and being in His presence.
Preceding days give way to a fresh start to enjoy a deeper relationship with God. A fresh canvas, every twenty-four hours.

Psalm 9:1 says, “I will praise thee, O Lord with my whole heart: I will show forth all thy marvellous works.” But only if He leads us not into temptation, but delivers us from evil.

The New Year is good because we are obedient to the Lord in faith. For He is our shepherd, and he will always provide for us – including tomorrow!
