By way of encouragement has anyone ever told you the story about the swimmer who wanted to swim the 21 miles across the English Channel? He trained, pushing himself beyond each daily goal, kept to the prescribed strict eating regiment and obtained the correct amount of sleep to ensure premium rejuvenation.

Finally, the day came and he stood there poised ready for the plunge for the voyage. In he went near the Shakespeare’s Cliff. Hour after hour he stroked long and sure. Nearing the 5th hour a fog set in and he became disoriented and felt he wouldn’t make it. He turned around and swam back to the side he started. Little did he know, he came within 6 miles in finishing! His coach asked him why he turned around when he was so close. The victory was there the coach was there to root him on but the swimmer couldn’t trust him.

The coach was disappointed but he didn’t berate him, He said, “I trained you, you’d been conditioned and primed and if all else failed I was there. I’ve gone before you, knowing the pitfalls and dangers, I was there”

After hearing the story I thought “For real, and the encouragement is where?”

NOW, We all agree we are in the last of the last days, but Our Coach says:

For the grace of God that bringeth salvationg hath appeared to all men teaching us…” Titus2:11

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds ll Corinthians 10:4.

Trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to passPsalm 37:5.

Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling and present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.Jude 24

Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus ChristPhilippians 1:6.

He is able to take us throught each and every trial and tribulation. He’s been there and know how we feel and He’s able to take us all the way to the final lap.

There’s the encouragement. HE’S ABLE…we just have to endure until victory and the crown awaiting us.
