There was a program years ago called “WHO AM I.” A panel would answer questions from people attempting to unveil the person’s true identity.

Sometimes it almost seems as if the world has so mixed with the church the difference can hardly be seen.

But you need not worry.

The word of God in James 3: 10-13 states, “Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be. Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? Either a vine, figs? So can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh. Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? Let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

God gives us spiritual gifts as a result of a genuine relationship with His Son, Christ Jesus. The fruit of the Spirit, His Spirit are gifts of love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance.

These qualities come from the power of God. As a whole component, it cannot exist outside of Him.

Let’s take a slice of joy for instance. How many people you know are genuinely joyful? Not just some of the time but are absolutely joyful souls. It probably wouldn’t take both hands to count. As in the rest of the fruit, they are inward peace and sufficiency that transcends life’s circumstances, hardships, and disappointments.

God empowers us to prove He can enter a life and affect it with such a change that others see His love and compassion and their lack then desire to know Christ.

You needn’t ask real Christian to stand up, just inspect the fruit people are exhibiting. Matthew 7:16 “He shall know them by their fruits.”
