I wonder if we get the big picture?  Sometimes stuff happens, sometimes life is at its worse and sometimes people actually work evil against us.

Floppedly someone will toss you the scripture in Romans 8: 28,  “And we know (usually about this times it is the least you want to hear, we are not sure of what we know because what we are feeling is driving our logic way, way over into ” why me”) that all things work together for good to them that love God ( we love God but it seems a little favor would be nice right through here) to them who are called according to His purpose“. But if in wisdom they would quote further, “For whom He did foreknow, He did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that he might be the the firstborn among many brethren.  Moreover whom He did predestinate, them He also justified: and whom He justified He also glorified.” (Rom. 8: 29,30)
There is a divine plan here, gang! From the beginning God made man in His own image. (Gen.1:27 So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him;  male and female created He them.“) With free will and choice, they sometimes clash with the plan of God. It’s not always our bad choices or wayward wills. The encouragement comes from 2 Timothy 3:12Yea, and all ( did you get that ? ALL) that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” It’s encouraging just knowing your are  living godly, the down side – it hurts!
Stay with me…
The choices produced sin that separated us from God. The cure – the Blood of Jesus, by the love and mercies of God enables us to give our lives a living sacrifice. Being transformed, proving what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. To be like Christ in obedience.
Accolades would be easier to accept, however for Christ one day the people shouted, ” HOSANNA; BLESSED IS HE THAT COMETH IN THE NAME OF THE LORD: BLESSED BE THE KINGDOM OF OUR FATHER DAVID,  THAT COMETH IN THE NAME OF THE LORD: HOSANNA IN THE HIGHEST, ” MARK 11:9,10  and a mere three chapters later they cried ” Crucify Him“. John records in the 19th chapter 15th verse,” But they cried out,  Away with Him, away with Him, crucify Him. Pilate saith unto them, shall I crucify your King? The chief priest answered, We have no king but Caesar“…
Not that we will receive no good things because morning by morning we see new blessings of health, provisions and temporal needs met, but the forming tools in life that carve into the image of Christ is obedience and suffering.
Rest assured God is not asleep and He sees all you’re going through and He knows what it will take to transform each of us into the image of His Son. It hurts, yes, it doesn’t feel good without a doubt. Our God is omniscience, omnipotent and loves us. Even in the worst times be reassured all these heartaches, all the sufferings, stress and distress are in the Hands of God causing all of them to together to transform us to the image of Christ and for His due Glory.
