That about 37,000 people die by automotive-related incidents per year in the U.S.?
51 people annually die by lightning strikes?
3,536 fatal drownings?
A shocking 332 boating-related deaths and 4,092 pedestrians are killed yearly. It is reported 9 million people die of hunger-related diseases every year more than the lives lost by AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis combined. Between 40 and 50 million babies are aborted worldwide every year. There are 7.4 million unemployed and 554,000 homeless in the U.S. A heart-rendering and climbing total of 44,965 suicides and 3.4 million blind folk in our United States.

If you are reading this, you were not in a car accident today. Lightning didn’t strike you in the last 30 minutes. Your last boat ride ended on shore and not the deep blue sea. Are you yet walking? Good!
Do you at least have a room to call your own?
Have you had a meal in the last 24 hours?

Suicide may have been a passing thought, but not a reality and this article is not written in braille. Must we be so extreme to find a reason to know you need to Praise God?
Who woke you this morning?
Did you tell the moon where to hide until evening, and the tide when to come ashore?
Night follows day because of your instructions?
Which of the stars did you hang or light?
The seasons were your idea, just about the time you hung the sun, right?
Take a good look at yourself and all you have. What would entice God, who created you and everything to allow you to see another day?

Even if things aren’t as you would have them, you know the Maker, who can bring it all to pass or give you the grace, to endure until your change comes.

O give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good: for His mercy endureth forever…Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distress… He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and break their bands in sunder… Oh that men would praise the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!… He sent His Word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Oh that men would praise the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!

Psalms 108

God has already done more then we could ever deserve.

Don’t let the rocks cry out for you! Each morning His mercies are new for you. Look around and take some time. You owe the Lord your life.
