So, how do you want to go?
On a fiery chariot, walking with God and then be gone?
To have God call you to a mountain and never be found or on a cloud?

Those sound promising but, how do we qualify for such illustrious exits?

Not on a flowery bed of ease.

Is anyone capable of a calling for a drought that will last for three years?

What about dealing with 400 false prophets and not allowing injustice wherever it’s found?
Is fire from Heaven at your demand?

If “yes” to any of these questions, the whirlwind to Heaven is yours.

God made a perfect paradise, but man chose to disobey God. Everything went downhill from there. In a sin-sick world, men did what was right in their minds. Despite the godlessness, there was one that walked with God (Enoch). How are you walking?

Let’s look at Moses, a royal upbringing just after the foundation his mother laid. Trying to walk the tightrope between the two worlds, and it tilted. Within the loop of fleeing than finding God. Have you been there? Could you stand in the gap for a stiff-necked, unbelieving people and love them to the point of sacrificing yourself?

Their lives got God’s attention for their dedication to His cause. People like the widow who sustained Elijah during the 3 year drought. The widow who gave all her living. The woman who washed Jesus’ feet with her hair and wept in forgiveness and love. They all went down in Bible history.
These were not super, bionic souls, but ordinary ones like you and me.
Souls determine to follow Jesus, no matter what. Those pressing onward and upward not affected or deterred by life’s daily rub because the Joy of the Lord is their strength.

A fiery chariot may not be waiting for us, but there’s a promise in John 14:1-2. He is preparing a place just for you, the faithful and true that where He is, there you can be.

So the mode to transport isn’t the issue. Jesus is waiting for us. He’s given you not only the power but also the arson wherewith to fight. We are human, and this flesh will be with us until we depart. Our weapons are not carnal but mighty through God pulling down strongholds. Casting down imaginations and anything that would exalt itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity all thoughts to the obedience of Christ.

Yes, we are on the winning side! Heaven is our home. When our tour in this sinful war-torn place is completed, after running this race and keeping the faith, we will, by God’s grace, be welcomed to Heaven -God’s child.
